Vacation Mini Album

My Oregon mini album is finally done.
That means that I decided that it’s good enough for me.
This decision must come at some point, otherwise nothing will ever get done.

I went for a very simple set-up – just plain 6″ by 6″ cardstock pages and chipboard cover with some pages that are smaller, to accent a place or a memory or a certain day.

If you like it –

The Pages…

Prepare for a long, photo heavy, journey 🙂
I hope your scroll-finger won’t hurt too much…

Supply

I simply raided my stash. I used a ton of letter stickers, word stickers border stickers and mini paper pads.

Unfortunately, not all of them are available for purchase. Some are REALLY old.

I love combining new and old products.

I also used quite a few of my Journaling Mates and my printables.

Here are some of the products I used that are still available (click on the image to be directed to the online store):

Vacation Withdrawal

Oregon Coast

A few days ago my husband and I came back from a relaxed vacation in Oregon.

We started in Portland and made our way back through the Oregon coast to Crater Lake, Bend, Sun River and Columbia River Gorge.

Oh. My. God.

Oregon is GORGEOUS!

We had such a great time.

Stayed at great hotels and ate great food

[i.e. gained a ton of weight.]

[i.e. lots of extra gym time for us]

As I came back I had so much catching up to do that I went straight into vacation withdrawal.

I hope to snap out of it as soon as possible.

I have so many projects planned out that I want to share with you guys.

So, please stay tuned 🙂

Unleashing The Creative Child Within You
Back when we were kids creativity came naturally to us. Everything was possible and our prolific imagination was the only limit we knew.
Through the years we have grown apart from our inner creative child and along with that – have lost our pristine and utter joy of creation.

In this e-book I will pave your way back to your inner creative child, brick by brick.

“Unleashing The Creative Child Within You” will explain why you became distant from your core creativity and will reveal the secret to getting it back.

With exercises designed specifically to help you find the inner child within you, regain its confidence and unleash it – you are bound to get your mojo back faster than you think.

Get “Unleashing The Creative Child Within You” for your Kindle
for only $4.99.

You can read the Kindle book on Kindle devices, on your smart phones or on your PC or MAC.

Maui, Hawaii

Hi everyone,

I have been away…

For the last 10 days I have been in Maui, Hawaii and just came back today.

It was wonderful!

We were hiking – to the edge of our (or my) abilities (12 miles hike from dawn till afternoon).
We were ziplining, hanging between heaven and earth.
We were hanging at the beach, reading and bathing in the cool ocean water as well as the warm sun rays.
We had great food with wonderful traditional songs and costumes.
We were climbing mountains and going down deep craters.
We walked on black sand beaches and red sand beaches, created by the volcano eruptions.
We walked through bamboo forests and lush vegetation.
We saw numerous rainbows – half rainbows, full rainbows and even double rainbows.

We had a blast and now I need a vacation from my vacation…

Though I don’t get to have one.

I have another personal challenge ahead of me and it will be time consuming and nerve-wracking, all over again.

However, I have a ton of renewed energy and high spirits.

I hope you all have been doing great!

I missed you.

I Am Back. Am I?

San Juan Puerto Rico

[fonts: Special Type and Marcelle Script]

My husband and I just came back from a 5-day excursion in Puerto Rico.

This vacation was far more needed than planned.

We were both tired and unmotivated and decided to blatantly ignore our busy schedules and never-ending to do list and just order the tickets and go.

“We will deal with the consequences once we are back, refreshed and filled with good energy”, was our mantra.

The trip was AMAZING. We fell in love with the colorful streets of San Juan, the friendly Puerto Ricans and the refreshing food and drinks.

We stayed at a beautiful resort in Fajardo, called: El Conquistador and got a beautiful room with an ocean view (Though we hardly stayed there – we mostly hiked and went sight seeing around the beautiful island).

Now I am back. Tackling my to do list with a shorter deadline but a much broader smile.

So far I have only managed to upload the photos we took on our first day in Puerto Rico. Feel free to take a peek.

Journaling Prompt – Consider Your City As A Prime Vacation Destination

Consider Your City As A Prime Vacation Destination

Summer is officially here and we are daydreaming about the perfect destination for the perfect summer vacation.

Guess what? Any destination you pick up, any exotic place you are dreaming to visit, has locals that reside there all year round and call it home. Pretty desirable, don’t you think?

Now that you’ve been pondering about all those lucky people living in a magical country/state, think for a minute about your own city and state. You also reside in a place where occasionally people come to on their vacation.

For this week’s journaling prompt try to think about your own city (or village…) and your own state (or country) as a prime vacation destination.

  • How would you describe your city to a tourist?
  • What are the greatest attractions in your town?
  • Which are the most beautiful places to visit?
  • Which are the best restaurants?
  • Where is the best place to do some recreational shopping?
  • Where is the ultimate hiking trail?

Take your journal and a pen and answer those question. Become excited with everything your own city and state has to offer and create important documentation for your posterity…
