Maya 1 year

10/11/12 had been a whirlwind kind of day.
It started with a regular doctor’s appointment and ended up with me holding my Maya in my hands.
A few weeks earlier than expected.
It’s been an unforgettable year.
My Maya has grown and become the most beautiful, kind and intelligent little toddler.
I am grateful beyond words.

My Maya

I love you , Maya!
I love you to the moon and back.
I love you beyond the farthest star.
I love you deeper than the center of earth.
I love you dearly and infinitely.

Maya at 8 months

Somebody, please pinch me.
My tiny little Maya, whose head I could fit in my palm, is 8½ months old.
Oh. Em. Gee.
Her eyes are still blue.
Her skin is still paper-white.
She is still pretty small [just 14 pounds…].
She drinks fruit smoothies with a straw.
[This one is banana and avocado. Thanks for asking]
She crawls. She sits. She has 3 teeth…
[I have the marks to prove that.]
She smiles a ton.
She does tricks.
She captivates everyone who sees her.
I mean e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e.
She loves books.
She loves being outdoors.
She REALLY loves the swing.
The harder we push – the better.
She ‘talks’ herself to sleep.
She is my world.
My world is SO awesome!

In 2013 I resolve to…

Maya and Mom

Enjoy my time spent with Maya.

I want to tear up when she squeals in joy.
I want to miss a beat when she learns something new.
I want to watch her start crawling.
I want to hear and listen to her first words.
I want to be there when she makes her first hesitant step.
I want to run after her when she doesn’t stop running around.
I want to read her stories.
I want to play with her.
I want to be there for her.
I want to be part of her present.
This is my present,
for 2013.

In 2013 I resolve to be there for my little daughter and to enjoy every second of it.

Maya

Despite the lost sleeping hours.
Despite the soreness of breastfeeding.
Despite the occasional frustrations
caused by sickness or unexplained crying.

I want to be there for my Maya,
and I want to enjoy every second of my time with her.

Maya

This is my New Year’s resolution.

What is yours?

Maya

For all of you who were wondering where I have been, here is the precious little reason.

I had just had my first baby.

An amazing little baby girl, named Maya.

Maya was born a bit unexpectedly.

See, Maya was extremely anxious to come out before reaching term, not to mention her due date, which is still in the future ๐Ÿ™‚

This early delivery gave me the most fabulous gift for my birthday, as she was released from the NICU just in time to celebrate with my husband and I.

Having said that, it also threw me off schedule and I wasn’t prepared for the time away that I needed and still need to take care of my tiny baby.

But don’t worry, I am still around and still planning very cool stuff for the near future.

I hope you will stay tuned too ๐Ÿ™‚

Project Educate Avital Layout

If you like it –

My husband captured this moment with his Android when I wasn’t looking and I really liked the fact that he encapsulated not only the moment but a theme in my current life.

I added a scribble on the top left side of the layout “When a law degree and a dual license to practice aren’t enough”, as I felt it gives the story a bit more depth, as this is not a picture of me studying for a class, but a picture of me acquiring more knowledge and absorbing more information in a quest to swallow the world of knowledge that is out there. A quest that has no rhyme or reason to it and has no specific path. I’m taking coding classes, mathematic classes, history classes, English literature classes, Ethics classes – as well as classes for my Continuing Legal Education credits quota. I’m nuts like that. Whenever I feel especially overwhelmed with lack of time and pressure to finish things, I just add another class that I either self-study or take online.

In this layout I tried a layered look that I usually do not go for, as I am a linear type of person. [a.k.a geek]

It was fun trying a new look, but you can tell that layering isn’t my strong suit… Mainly because I lose patience along the way and start adhering things down too soon.

I also added some concealed journaling inside the itty bitty envelope under the photo to include more details and personal notes. I glued an old ribbon that looked exactly like my washi tape to pull the journaling spot from its place.

Vacation Withdrawal

Oregon Coast

A few days ago my husband and I came back from a relaxed vacation in Oregon.

We started in Portland and made our way back through the Oregon coast to Crater Lake, Bend, Sun River and Columbia River Gorge.

Oh. My. God.

Oregon is GORGEOUS!

We had such a great time.

Stayed at great hotels and ate great food

[i.e. gained a ton of weight.]

[i.e. lots of extra gym time for us]

As I came back I had so much catching up to do that I went straight into vacation withdrawal.

I hope to snap out of it as soon as possible.

I have so many projects planned out that I want to share with you guys.

So, please stay tuned ๐Ÿ™‚

Unleashing The Creative Child Within You
Back when we were kids creativity came naturally to us. Everything was possible and our prolific imagination was the only limit we knew.
Through the years we have grown apart from our inner creative child and along with that – have lost our pristine and utter joy of creation.

In this e-book I will pave your way back to your inner creative child, brick by brick.

“Unleashing The Creative Child Within You” will explain why you became distant from your core creativity and will reveal the secret to getting it back.

With exercises designed specifically to help you find the inner child within you, regain its confidence and unleash it – you are bound to get your mojo back faster than you think.

New Goodies

It’s funny that the most ‘expensive’ product costs $5.99…

So much joy for such a low cost.

Of course it adds up.

But you cannot put a price on happiness, can you?

Or so I tell my husband.

What was your latest purchase?

I do my best to provide useful information and materials for my readers.

I share most of my work for FREE.

I try to answer all questions and reply to every comment.

I steer clear from hidden links and sponsored texts and by that turn down a lot of money…

My only stream of income from my blog is my affiliate links to products I tried from stores I trust [from which I get a fraction of the amount paid] as well as my products – my workshops and my book.

I love my readers and every time a reader comments on how helpful my printables are for her – it truly makes my day!!!

I REALLY appreciate when ever you tweet, like, pin or stumble upon any of my posts.

It means a lot to me when you share a link to a printable you used on a project.

I always find it hard to recognize my printables, as your projects are so beautiful, that my design pales in comparison and shrivels in shame.

Which is why it is hurtful when someone takes the time to pin something just to mention it isn’t for my actual work, but for a link I included on my post.

It hurts.

I am a real person.

And a way too sensitive one.

That. Is. All.
