The journaling on my layout describes my obsession quite clearly, here you go:
This stack of books may look innocent on its face, but once you’ll learn all these books are new purchases (the four at the top are from today) you may look at it differently.
I’m obsessed with books.
As you can see my taste is very eclectic. I like many genres and always enjoy a good book to get lost in.

Oh, wow! I read Hearts in Atlantis and loved it but it seemed like no one else had ever heard of it!!! Great to see a couple of fellow aficionados. I am a huge book lover with eclectic taste. I also recommend The Help. I loved The Green Mile, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, anything by Jodi Picoult, anything by Madeline L’Engle (even the children’s books), The Summerhouse, The Poisonwood Bible, To Kill A Mockingbird, Golda, and the list could go on and on!!! I love to read. How could I possibly get a real job when I have so many books to read, pages to scrap and cross stitch charts to stitch!
I’ve read “Green Mile” and “To Kill A Mockingbird” and LOVED them both. You are also the second one to suggest “The Elegance Of The Hedgehog” to me, so I already added it to my wish list 🙂

What a lovely page! Now I want to do one for myself…… as soon as all my books and stash arrive in France from England!
I’ve recently read “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” and absolutely loved it. Written from the perspective of a 15-year-old autistic boy, it give you wonderful new ways of thinking about how the mind works.
Also loved “The Unbearable Lightness of Scones”, one of the Scotland Street novels by Alexander McCall Smith. I’m IN Edinburgh when I read these novels!
Am currently engrossed in (and hopping between) “The Lady in the Tower” by Alison Weir and “Wolf Hall” by Hilary Mantel. Going very slowly because I don’t want to finish either of them!!!

I have heard about “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time†but wasn’t sure I’d like that. My nephew is autistic and my sister, his mom, could not really connect with the book. I will give it another look, though.
